Flight Training FAQ
Flight Training Programs
could i mix and match part 61 and part 141 training?
YES. However, we recommend that you move to another program after you complete your current Certificate or Rating. This is due to FAA Regulation stating how much previous training we can give you credit for.
i am almost finished with my training. can you finish me up quickly?
YES and NO. It will depend on your ability to fly and how much knowledge you have to pass your checkride.
We recommend that you take a lesson with your Instructor so that he/she can gauge your skill level. Then, a timeline can be considered for you to finish up your Certificate or Rating.
Additionally, even if you have taken your Knowledge Exam, we do not know your knowledge level. Therefore, a Mock Checkride is definitely required before we schedule your checkride.

how many students are in a typical class?
As we do our best to have resources such as aircraft and instructors available, we limit our student load so that we can provide a seamless program where you will progress at a steady pace. Student to Instructor ratio varies with the instructor and type of students they take on. An instructor might have 5-10 students that are part-time students while another instructor might have 2-3 full time students. It will all vary depending on your timeline/schedule.
Ground School Enrollment
how is ground school run?
Our Ground School classes are held in 1 of 3 classrooms in our facility. An Instructor will have various methods of explaining terminology, theory, and practical information to students.
Each lesson, our Instructor will explain the information and answer any questions from students. At end of each class, a test will be assigned to students which will need to be completed prior to next lesson. Additionally, Stage tests and End of Course tests will be given which will determine your graduation eligibility.
We do not provide books or other materials for you to study by yourself and hope for the best. Our Instructors will guide you through the materials and explain so that you have full understanding of the information required.

Flight Training Scheduling
how do i schedule flight times?
Our Instructors will get together with you and determine a best time to fly. Typically, you will fly 2 lessons per day with your Instructor. With each lesson being 1-3 hours in length, flight training reservation will be made for you automatically to ensure aircraft and Instructor availability.
when do we flight train?
Typical students are booked Monday-Friday for 2 lessons per day. If you would like to supplement your training over the weekend, please make sure to discuss that with your Flight Instructor so that he/she can make accomodations.
can i cancel a flight without fee?
YES. However there are only limited circumstances and time requirements for cancelling a reservation without paying a fee.
As we look after our students, we also need to look after our Flight Instructors and make sure they are fed. Last minute cancellations mean your Flight Instructors are not working and it also means that the aircraft are not flying generating revenue to keep the school running.
